Xindi He

I’m a fifth-year PhD candidate in the Joint Program in Financial Economics at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics. I received a B.A. in Economics from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University in 2018.

My research focuses on the interactions between asset prices, investor behavior, and real activity. I am interested in a wide range of topics from investor characteristics to firm decisions, and from beliefs under information asymmetry to preferences with psychological bias. For each of these topics, my research aims to unveil the financial and macroeconomic consequences of the co-existence of full and limited rationality. My job market paper is "Non-fungible Cash in the Stock Market."

In Fall 2020 and Winter 2022, I taught Elements of Economic Analysis II (Micro Core) as a graduate instructor for undergraduates at the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics (materials; evaluations: 2020, 2022). I also worked as a teaching assistant (assessments) for Corporation Finance, Investments, Microeconomics, Advanced Microeconomic Analysis, Introduction to Money and Banking, and Applied Econometrics. Based on my notes of 3,798 pages for 7 subjects, I have broad teaching interests in finance and economics.

I am on the 2022-2023 job market.
